Morgan Duke Conservation Society has volunteer stewardship agreements with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, which enable us to maintain and preserve the natural resources and environment in the NYSDEC Wild Forest and Management areas. There are no fees to enter into these agreements and Morgan Duke Conservation Society does not give funding to state agencies or raise money for state agencies. Instead, Morgan Duke Conservation Society uses the funds they receive from the public for the organization’s conservation activities, including trail work and habitat restoration. Sometimes, the NYSDEC provides tools, like paint and brushes, for use by the organization.
